The educationist’s concerns over questionable text books– Pervez Hoodbhoy than sufficient to corrupt the tender minds at beginners’ schools. These books with copious notions of violence and terror produce young brigade of militants and suicide bombers. The risks of terrorism in future can be avoided if the strict actions are taken against the publication houses and organizations developing and printing these materials.Convinced of this line of reasoning of Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, the renowned scholar and educationist at the seminar on “Role of Youth in Combating Extremism” Future Youth Group (FYG) vows to take up this issue with the ministry of education.
This topic is not new for FYG. The motivated young liberals have conducted a similar research report on hate materials against minorities in the text books which eventually resulted into successful changes in the curricula.
Currently, while confronted with the challenge of terrorism and extremism in Pakistan, the
